Dale Creek Equestrian Village

I am not writing this post to throw mud at a person or to criticise. I am writing this post to tell of an experience that I had. Tonight at Dale Creek Equestrian Village, I was slapped in the face by a backstabbing friend, and a acquaintance. No, not literally, but tonight Cindy told me that unless I wanted to buy a horse, or start paying her so that I could come and help her, I was no longer allowed at Dale Creek. I have been there for over a year, and I am shocked. I can't say that I am shocked, because I was warned by friends that this would happen. I am hurt, offended, upset and well, yes I am shocked. I am upset because not only am I being replaced by a person that has little horse experience, but has only been there TWICE! TWICE!!! I did not ask for pay, just to be able to be around horses. Shelby, a girl whom I helped learn the ropes at Dale Creek, is now possibly buying Tabbie. WOW. I'm the one who introduced her to Tabbie. I love that horse, he is such a good boy, he's so loyal and loving and I guess now all I can say is that I hope he goes to a good home. That hurts to write. I know for a fact that at least two of Cindy's lessons are leaving because they saw what happened tonight. I am again not trying to throw mud, but I am mad and sad at the same time, and this is what a blog is for, to write all this down. I love Dale Creek, and all the horses there, it is a stable with a lot of potential. The way I have to force myself to look at this is everything happens for a reason. I am going to have a good cry, eat some ice cream and hopefully be done with it.

  1. I am so sorry, that is really unfair considering all you have done at the farm and for Tabby. It seems strange to pay for the opportunity to help her???!!

Unfortunately, I am not shocked at the situation considering who was involved, but I am saddened that you have been treated this way.

  2. This is a total lie!

Veronica was told to leave Dale Creek because she was using a horse and wouldn't pay any of the expenses for his upkeep. She was also confusing the students with advice behind the instructors back.

  3. OK- well, this obviously is a woman who is absolutely nuts. She posts, on a 15 year old girls personal blog, that she is a liar. "Using" a horse is a very bold statement. Veronica was taking care of an abandoned horse that was obviously suffering. This horse was getting no care, turnout, attention, or hoof trimming. This child was spending hours upon hours of her free time working with the animal that she bonded with and fell in love with. What does she get in return? She is told to leave. Really? Who does that to a 15 year old? At such a precarious age in a girl/womans life, to have the rug pulled out from under her by the people she trusts is abhorrent. (look it up, Cindy)

"Veronica was told to leave Dale Creek because she was using a horse and wouldn't pay any of the expenses for his upkeep." -IT WAS YOUR HORSE, CINDY!

Get a life. Stop cyberstalking teenagers.

In no part of this commentary was any untruth told. Read it again, and you will see that it is the honesty of a girl who is sadly disappointed by someone she considered a friend and a mentor. Realistically, it is more of a life lesson than anyone could imagine. Yep, Veronica. People will disappoint you. They may even be the people you most look up to. Thanks Cindy, for providing a very valuable life lesson for a 15 year old girl.

  4. I completely agree with this person! This horse's condition was sad, Veronica was doing you a favor, and she trusted you. I know how sad she was when you "asked her to leave", and I am overly joyous that she has now realised that you did her a favor by kicking her out. Veronica is a great person who will succeed in whatever she does, and this expirience has only made her stronger. Ms. Gura if you have nothing better to do than acuse teenagers of being liars over the internet(on their personal blogs might I add) than I feel nothing but pity for you, your life is obviously pathetic!
