Finally Paid Off

This past month at Dale Creek we have been getting ready for a horse show, which was yesterday. On Saturday night me, Kayla, Dominique, Daniel and their parents were all at the stable until ELEVEN that's pm not am. By the time I got home I was exhausted, I had a handful of lucky charms and went to sleep. The next day...so yesterday, I got up around six, and started getting ready, at ten till seven Dominique came and picked me up. We got to the stables, and started wrapping horses legs, and making sure we had everything. Around seven thirty, eight we started off, trying to follow the horse trailer, but we eventually lost them because Larry drives like a crazy person! :). The show was in Chino Valley, and it only took us two hours to get there because we only got lost three, or four times. :) We did eventually get there, but when we did I was carsick, I felt awful, but as soon as I smelt the horses I was better...hahahaha. When we got there we signed in, and everyone started gearing up, we went to the arena and then found out, when the horses started freaking out, that there were cattle there. Outside the arena there we cattle just wandering around in their pen. We had brought three horses, Ritzy, who Daniel rode, UV Ray, who Kayla rode, and Big, who Dominique rode. UV had a complete meltdown and took off inside the arena, Ritzy reared every time a cow moved but Big acted as if they weren't even there. Kayla got scared and decided to scratch, which means not compete, and Daniel decided to HC which is where you still perform, just someone is holding onto the horse with a lead rope. Dominique won TWO first places, and best time of the day. I was so happy for her, she has worked very hard. They all have worked so hard, twice a day everyday, once at five a.m. to nine a.m. and then again at six p.m. to nine p.m.. Daniel is now going to move onto a different horse, Brilliante, Dominique is going to move onto a different level, training level, and Kayla is going to move to Alabama :( . I will post pictures as soon as I get them. I hope that for all of them the hard work has finally paid off.
